Due to an advanced pest infestation, the attic of the row of townhouses—comprising a total of eight residential units—had to be completely renovated. A particular planning challenge in this project was preserving the structural integrity of the ground floor. After the construction plans were finalized, and the necessary construction work was put out to bid and awarded, the renovation was divided into three construction phases to ensure that parts of the building remained habitable during construction.
